On November 30, the last catwalk gate frame of G3 Tongling Yangtze River Railway Bridge, invested by the Municipal Investment Group and built by China Railway Bridge Bureau, was installed, putting together the last piece of the "puzzle" for the catwalk of the bridge.。In the sunshine, the catwalk hangs in the air, connecting the two banks to the anchor and the main tower, like a colorful "air corridor"。Soon, the bridge's first cable will be able to fly across the Yangtze River along the tow rope。

G3 Tongling Yangtze River Railway Bridge is the world's first kilometer level double-deck cable-suspension cooperative system bridge, catwalk is the main cable system of the bridge and the entire superstructure construction of the most important air walkway and working platform。The total length of the catwalk is 1,738.36 meters, net width of about 4 meters, the surface layer is laid by wire mesh, the highest point is 220 meters from the river。The single length of the load-bearing cable is 1741.26 meters, a single cat path has 8, the whole bridge a total of 16, nominal tensile strength of 1960 mpa, can withstand 3600 tons of weight。After the load-bearing cable is set up, the catwalk door frame is set up. The width of the door frame is 4.5米,高6.Five meters, one every 40 meters longitudinally, 74 in total。During the construction of catwalk, there are many high-altitude operations and high safety risks. In order to increase the wind stability of catwalk, a transverse flyover is set up every 120 meters in the middle span, and one is arranged in the north and south side spans and the middle span. The whole bridge has 9 lanes to increase the stiffness of the upstream and downstream catwalk。

From the pilot cable crossing the river on October 20 to the installation of the last gantry on November 30, the catwalk of the bridge was safely completed within 45 days, creating good conditions for the construction of the bridge cable system。In the future, a cable will complete the "threading thread" on it, providing key support for the main beam of the bridge to cross the river。
